Service Description

Cowgirl Retreat – Confidence & Horsemanship Sunday 13 September 2026 9:30 am – 6:00 pm Irishtown, WA Have you always wanted to spend time with horses but didn't know where to begin? Our Cowgirl Retreat – Confidence & Horsemanship is designed for women of all experience levels. Whether you've never touched a horse before or would like to build your confidence, this relaxed country experience allows you to learn at your own pace in a supportive environment. This isn't a trail ride or riding school. Instead, you'll learn practical horsemanship skills, develop confidence around horses, and discover how horses respond to our body language, emotions and communication. Your day includes: • Country morning tea with fresh camp oven damper • Welcome, introductions and safety briefing • Meeting the horses and learning their personalities • Horse behaviour and body language • Grooming, catching, haltering and leading • Groundwork and confidence-building exercises • Emotional regulation and breathing techniques with horses • Country BBQ lunch • Individual horsemanship coaching • Optional riding (where appropriate) • Sunset Sundowner around the campfire with billy tea and reflection Individual Coaching Participants take turns working one-on-one with the facilitator while the rest of the group observes, learns and offers encouragement. This provides personalised coaching, promotes horse welfare, and creates a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where everyone learns together. Riding There is no pressure to ride. Some participants may simply enjoy groundwork and spending time with the horses, while others may choose to sit on a horse or enjoy a short ride. Each participant progresses at their own comfort level. Horse Welfare The wellbeing of our horses is our highest priority. For their comfort and safety, rider weight limits apply: • Mystic – up to 65 kg • Larger EKE horses – up to 90 kg Participants who choose not to ride, or for whom riding isn't suitable, will still enjoy a full day of horsemanship and horse connection activities. What to Bring • Enclosed boots • Hat • Comfortable clothing • Water bottle • Jacket for the evening Time 9:30 am – 6:00 pm Location Equine Kinship Experience Irishtown, WA Limited places available.
