EKE SUPPORTIVE THERAPY SESSIONS FOCUS… These sessions focus on assisting any of our clients which have suffered trauma, wish to build their confidence and social skills and/OR anyone with mental health diagnosis or special needs such as Down Syndrome, ADHD/ADD, Slow Cognitive Tempo (SCT), Aspergers &/OR Autism (ASD). The sessions are quite specialised incorporating riding (not necessary though) and on-ground activities that can improve cognitive coordination, core strength and communication. In our sessions we draw upon Counselling and Psychotherapy techniques in the form of Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning. This provides a safe space for the participant to work through any issues going on in their lives. EKE Therapy assists to facilitate change and assist clients to build a mental health 'metaphoric tool box' to draw on when working through these areas of their concern for emotional growth, disabilities or any mental health conditions they may have. A bit about EKE… EKE is a method that incorporates horses to help promote emotional growth in people to embrace life's challenges with strength and courage. Horses are the most popularly used animal to help heal people. This is because horses respond and give feedback to a person’s actions and behaviours. They are also able to mirror people's emotions. It is easy for participants to establish a connection with the horse. Horses behave like human beings in their social and responsive behaviour. Horses ‘heal our hearts and minds’. Cancellation Policy

Please note - Waiver & Indemnity form you be signed. Also if you have to cancel at any time just give us as much notice as possible and we will re-schedule or you can put towards another service or ask for a gift voucher to give to a friend/family if you're unable to come as we do not offer refunds but will do this type of credit within our services.
